SITUATION

Advances in autonomous vehicle (AV) technology have opened up new opportunities in UK manufacturing. However, many smaller manufacturers struggle with the high upfront cost of adopting this technology.

Guidance Automation saw an opportunity to remove this barrier by introducing a £0 CapEx model. Instead of buying the technology outright, manufacturers only pay when an autonomous vehicle is in use. An idea inspired by Rolls-Royce’s well-known “power by the hour” model.

QUESTION

How do we package, market, and deliver this new model in a way that manufacturers understand and trust?
